Our Mission & Vision

At BrightSteps our mission is to empower families, students, and schools to unlock each child’s potential through expert psychoeducational evaluations, compassionate advocacy, and tailored coaching. We deliver clear insights into learning profiles and functional, behavioral, and emotional needs; we advocate for every child’s right to appropriate services and support; and we equip parents with the tools and confidence to foster meaningful growth both at home and at school.

We envision a future where every child, regardless of language, background, or learning profile, is understood, supported, and empowered to thrive as their unique and authentic self. We strive to transform the educational experience through compassionate guidance, culturally responsive practice, and unwavering advocacy. Our vision is a world where families feel confident navigating educational systems, schools embrace neurodiversity and equity, and every student has access to the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.

Meet us:

I’m Adriana Perdomo, a licensed school psychologist and the founder of BrightSteps, where Insight, Advocacy, and Growth come together to support schools, students, and families.

At BrightSteps, I offer psychoeducational evaluations, IEP consultation for school districts, advocacy for parents navigating the special education process, coaching for ADHD and parenting challenges. With extensive experience in public education, I understand the complexities of school systems, equity barriers, and the full continuum of services and supports available to students.

As a Latina woman and native Spanish speaker, I am passionate about serving culturally and linguistically diverse families and about creating inclusive, equitable, and empowering spaces for all learners. At BrightSteps, we take a strengths-based, neurodiverse-affirming approach to supporting children, teens, and families.

Whether you're looking to better understand your child's needs, prepare for an IEP meeting, or build executive functioning skills at home, I’m here to support you. My goal is to bridge the gap between schools and families, so every child has the opportunity to thrive.
